Beautiful late summer weather; Strawberry Storm rocks out at the Apache Motorcycle Club

The weather here has been great... clear days with late summer temperatures up into the mid-to-high 20s, which means that everyone is in a good mood.

Everyone is ticking along nicely at school these days.  Maggie is enjoying her classes and seems to have a pretty good crop of good students this year; that makes things more pleasurable for her.  Duncan likes his teachers a lot, and is adjusting well to the new class.  Many of his classmates had to repeat their year, so the fourth year classes have been shuffled quite a bit; he was upset about this at first but fortunately his friend Nico is still in his class so that helps.

We heard very little from Malcolm over the last couple of weeks, but then saw him on Friday, when he came home in the later afternoon to pick up his musical gear before the evening's performance... Strawberry Storm was the opening act at a rock concert at the MCP Apache motorcycle club, near Charleroi.  Malcolm, Duncan, and Bryan and I drove together to the gig and had a good time listening to the band play.  If you would like to see some video, then I invite you to head on over to the Strawberry Storm facebook page.

That's about all I have to report just now.  It's time to warm up and sing through some Monteverdi madrigals in preparation for my first rehearsal with the group this Friday.
