This evening's performance of the Christmas Oratorio etc. went quite well... I think everyone bumped things up a notch for the performance, and I do feel that I got to really play with the text a lot more tonight. Having an audience really does make a big difference! Stephanie's great to work with, very clear as a conductor, and when the spirit moved me to be a little more flexible with my phrasing tonight, I followed those impulses without giving it a second thought: Stephanie was right with me all the way, and so was her choir and orchestra. Quite a pleasure.
Now it's off to bed, as tomorrow comes early, and I want to try to sing it that extra little bit better for the second showing.
